June 2009 Mapping Local Food Webs

Are you interested in promoting local food? The Campaign to Protect Rural England are starting the Mapping Local Food Webs project, which will work with local people to research the benefits local food producers, suppliers and retailers bring to Norwich and its residents. May 2009 Norwich and Norfolk Sustainable Living Festival

The first Sustaiable Living Festival will be held in the Forum from 22nd-31st May. Norwich Food Web projects taking part include BTCV Green Gym and Sustainable Living Initiative, as well as East Anglia Food Link, the Magic Garden Project and UEA Permaculture society. Click here for more info.

Transition Norwich launches

The Transition Norwich initiative launched last October in St Andrew’s Hall, with over 300 people attending. Transition Norwich is a part of the Transition towns initiative, where local people and groups look at the challenges of peak oil and possible solutions.
